ChefChain and FlevoFood at Rollende Keuken: Are you ready to Krumbl?

ChefChain and FlevoFood, beneficiaries of TITAN’s Open Call, participated in the sixteenth edition of Rollende Keukens, the largest mobile kitchen event in The Netherlands.

Every year, the Amsterdam Westergasfabriek transforms from an urban park to a huge outdoor restaurant, where various mobile restaurants join forces to provide an incredible culinary experience for visitors. This year, ‘The Weekend of the Rolling Kitchens’ took place from the 8th to the 12th of May, and ChefChain and FlevoFood from TITAN’s new pilot were there to present their culinary adventure Krumbl.

Krumbl is a culinary journey that combines the rich tradition of British apple crumble with the local and fresh flavors and ingredients of The Netherlands. What makes this experience different and special is the dynamic way they present their concept to consumers. Krumbl documents every detail of their process and allows consumers to trace the journey of each of the ingredients from farm to plate. Through a QR code, visitors could check the details of these ingredients to learn everything from farm history to nutritional values. Visitors not only enjoyed the incredible flavors of their apple berry, strawberry biscuit, and carrot cake krumbl, but they also liked the story behind Krumbl and the traceability factor.

ChefChain and FlevoFood will work together in one of TITAN’s new pilots, where they aim to drive transparency in the food chain from Farm to Fork, democratize data that allows consumers to make conscious choices, and disrupt the short supply chain for the benefit of the farmer – chef – consumer.
