The TITAN project aims to transform the food system. For this transformation to take place, transparency in different food supply chains must be enhanced. Consumers themselves must be able to make informed food choices, but for them to have better access to healthy, sustainable, and affordable food, transparent information about the integrity and value of food must be shared.
We will shortly be conducting focus groups to explore perspectives on transparency from individuals and organisations that are involved in the food system – from producers to technology providers and retailers. These focus groups will involve discussion around pressing questions such as:
What are the factors for greater transparency in the food system and which technological innovations can support this transition?
How can policy makers be influenced so that these transparency needs become even more fundamental on the international, European and national political agenda?
The focus groups will be facilitated by researchers from Technische Universiteit Delft and Cardiff University and with a duration of one and a half hours, will take place on the following days:
20 June – 11.30 to 13.00 CET
21 June – 15:00 to 16:30 CET
4 July – 15:00 to 16:30 CET
7 July – 11 to 12:30 CET
If your organisation has a perspective on the role and development of transparency in the food system, your participation would be welcomed! The focus groups will form the basis for future outputs, including briefings for policymakers.
If you are interested in taking part, please complete the very short form at this link to register your interest by 13th June 2023, 5pm CET.
