TITAN Project Supports Research on Food Safety and Authenticity

The Iberian Early-Career Researchers’ Congress of the Campus Terra: Roots of Knowledge, hosted at the Campus Terra of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, highlighted exciting research aimed at making food production safer and more sustainable. Carla Teixeira, supported by the TITAN Project EU, shared her findings in two key areas:

Key Contributions:

  1. Oral Presentation:
The talk, “Swab Testing for the Detection of Traces of Allergenic Ingredients on Food Processing Surfaces”, introduced a quick and effective way to detect allergens in food factories, helping to ensure safer food for consumers.
  2. Poster Presentation:
The poster, “Desenvolvemento dun Método Rápido para Asegurar a Autenticidade de Aceites de Oliva”, on developing rapid methods for authenticating olive oils.

With the TITAN Project’s support, this research brings us closer to safer and more reliable food production.

Stay tuned for more updates on the TITAN Project and its role in transforming food systems!
